Does Greenfire have Silver Laced Orps?

I don't think Greenfire has released their silver laced yet. I have been keeping my eyes peeled. But, ya never know, I may have missed it.

I have some beautiful silver laced that I imported last year. I would be very happy if I could find someone with unrelated stock and do swapping to increase genetic diversity. That would be beneficial to the silver laced as they get started in the USA.

Yeah I recently met someone that has a close friend that is an older gentlemen that Im told imported LF silver laced Orpingtons last year. I don't know if he did this legally or not but am told they r gorgeous and the man has a decent size flock of them. I was told he doesn't do social websites like this one and he doesn't re-sale his birds for much and usually just gives away the eggs as its just a hobby for him and he has been eating them. I am suppose to meet this guy in the next couple of weeks at my new friends farm and am told he is saving me a couple dozen eggs from this flock as my new bud knows Im such a huge fan of the English Orps. I am hoping this guy is sincere and that would b awesome as supposedly this is a different line then Greenfire farms has now and r larger birds. This is one of those things I will believe it when I see it type of deals as I don't know him at all and don't know this new guy all that well but am also told he has the best lavs he has ever seen
. Not gonna get my hopes up but am crossing my fingers.

Ive met quite a few too..One wins a lot in bantams..he doesnt even know how to turn on a computer...another is APA judge, he also doesnt spend a minute of time on computer..I had to show him that his picture made a internet magazine cover..he made me print it for him...another shows a LF and doesnt matter where he goes, you see him on champion row, plus more..they are ususally sincere, nice people who are really enjoying the birds..so I hope he follows through and gives you some birds for decent price..he sounds like the kind that will..they restore your faith in mankind..not out to one up everybody..Ive met so many wonderful people in poultry circles...Some are a real treasure..

Guess it is time for me to join the conversation........

I have followed the thread from day 1.............
I hatched 4 lovely 100% English this weekend.
Will post pictures later.
I have a Blue Roo 10 months old 100%
one blue and one black 50% hens 17 months old.
Oh,and a 9 month blue pullet.......
The pullet is wierd, she refuses to be part of any group and roosts alone.
She is laying but if the roo trys to get near her, she attacks him.
I hatched and raised her soooo???????????????
I am disappointed in the roo
He is very leggy.I do not know if it is his age or he just is not a great specimen.
Perhaps someone will help me with this............
The sun is out here today so I will try to get pictures.................

Wow what a really nice post. I contacted my new friend today and he swears its happening and the guy has already began saving me eggs and is suppose to bring pics with him of his birds when he meets me and says I can just have the 2 doz for what he pays in gas to visit my friend at his farm. We r suppose to set the date and time to do this very soon. Your mssg really gave me hope and Im so crossing my fingers this is all true. I would probably hug that that old man if he does bring me the eggs. They r for sure imports but didn't wanna press the legal issues nor am I mentioning or even asking that old man when I meet him.

Welcome to the thread. I am looking forward to seeing the pics. Im so bored today maybe I will also post a few of the oddball chick I hatched since he/she has wing sprouts now.

That's cool! I don't post that often anymore. Especially this time of the year I am so busy...
But I do try to log in at least once daily to get my daily dose of Orpington
Everyone's Orpingtons are so nice! Makes me want to build more pens and own every color available!
