Deek and Elite,
Thank-you for educating me on the GLs. I love all of the colors of orps, but I think the GLs are my favorite. I agree, perfection may be hard.to get to, but it sure will be fun trying, and I'm ready to try. I can't think of a sweeter breed to keep around for a good long time and work on. It will definitely be a labor of love. I ordered just a few GL hatching eggs that should be here mid-April. I hope to have boys and girls. If I do end up putting them together with a black to improve type, do I breed back to the laced bird to get the lacing correct again? I'm new to the genetics and I need terms I can understand. I guess what I'm asking is...is the lacing sex-linked like the barring gene? Where to pass on the lacing I would need a laced male over a solid female instead of the other way around?
