The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I have two English females, and this is my first hatch with both of them. They are young so I am getting an egg a day from each of them. They will level out and average eggs a year should be around 180-220. They are great mothers and some go broody often. Soon to be in the big brooder. Water FF
Cute! They look great. I just want to pick them all up lol.

Sweet babies. I bet you wanted more blues. That's why you hatched out more blacks.

What do you put in their water? it looks like molasses a little bit.

chicks are soo cute!

This chick is now 1/2 the size of the rest of the brood. It eats and drinks, but it sleeps more and does not eat and drink with the gusto of the rest. Any suggestions or advice?
I would just keep an eye on her and give her some time! I had one that was half the size of her sisters. Always too busy to stop and eat. She is the largest now. One of my best layers. I named her Baby. DragonLady called her "Squirt". Slept underneath the others since she was so much smaller. Now she is the Queen. Rules the roost.
