I've learned so much the last few days about raising chicks from the Wyandotte moms! They've been my myth busters.

They have two nests but laid their eggs in the same nest and take turns on the nest and taking care of their two chicks. Will they know if the other eggs aren't going to hatch, or should I remove them- if I dare risk losing my hand?

How old are the eggs that they are still on ? Is it just some that didnt hatch along with the chicks ?

The chicks are 6 days old. None have hatched in several days. I'm not sure how old the unhatched eggs are since both hens laid them at separate times.

If it were me I would take them away, but thats just me.
