here are some babies in the yard..they are everywhere..the smaller blue baby is from Roger..hatched about 2 weeks later..there are three of those... Going to be so interesting to see thier next set of feathers..so far every blue bird I have hatched from Roger has this perfect laced feather with not a stitch of shafting..wonderful...they are very popular with everyone who visits here...people linger around the buffs and blues.........the babies have heated aframe but that little hotdog wants to be out with the big guys....all of these are pure english except the black ones..those are in the english class of australorp..there are 6 of those ..out running around and enjoying themselves..

Those are some gorgeous snow white babies Lynne !

Glad you like them aveca that has been my goal, trying to improve the lacing & blue color, thanks for the update.

Hi all ... I am new here, my name is Katie and I'm from Texas. I want to show off my new babies and I guess this thread is where this all goes, huh? These are English Orps - the Father Roo was on site today at purchase and was SPECTACULAR and one of the largest Roos I have ever seen! Direct import from England; he seems to make beautiful babies. :) Here are the new babies (I also got some French Maran pullets and some Creme Legbar eggs, which are currently snuggled under my broody Cochin.
Great pictures and the chicks are just too cute! What part of Texas? I am in southwest Arkansas. Welcome!

They are a huge hit Roger..everybody loves them..When pastor Romig came up..he spent a lot of time looking them over ....along with the buffs...I took some pics of his visit , will post them later..he is a huge fan of the blues, he created a duck called the Romig blue...so he loves the blue birds..he went up to Boo and said.....well your just a little hummin bird...

..he was looking around in there looking at every feather ..very impressive lacing and the shaft blends so perfectly with the surrounding feather that it dissappears....the point he was trying to make was , people need to get off the argument about fluff and see the unbeleivable value of a bird of this size and color..he has his little flaws but dont throw the baby out with the bathwater...smart breeders would see the value in this....you did real well with it..you and Julie and Joy, he wanted to know the origions of them so told him you three mainley had worked on them...again...very impressive...its nice to be able to give a name to somones work..and not a sketchy I dont know..he had a question or 2 about my blacks, I told him where I got them other than that I dont know a lot..he said boy that rooster is nice....he gave me a lot of advise..helped a lot..He was so impressed with the color of Vickies buffs, no white over the shoulder the most even color he had seen..so I learned a lot that day about buffs, they are brand new for me so lots to learn..we talked about common problems seen in US version, corrections for Brit version, ect....most of all he told me dont be in a hurry about anything....relax and enjoy the journey..

I'm in fayette county ... The prettiest county in Texas! I'm about an hour(ish) from Houston and Austin.
I love Austin and Lake Travis. I use to travel as a consultant and spent about 5 months in Austin. Good luck with the babies. I looked at your website which you were closer for a photo session.
