Guinea mothers are absent minded ,ADD riddled, ding bats. I've seen them march off into tall grass and leave a trail of stranded, rapidly chilling keets. They are really desert birds who only reproduce, and rear keets well, in a sand enclosure.They've made me so furious in the past at their lack of mothering skills that I've wondered if their intelligence wouldn't be improved by shooting the horn off their heads.

Ha ha- well I do live in the desert, and mine did not fair any better. They are not smart birds. They get trapped behind fences they just flew over and the gate is open anyway. My chickens can navigate my yard no problem- cant say the same for the guinea. Maybe the horn pinches the brain?

9 or 10 months old. Old enough to make chocolate pullet chicks. Thank you Julie, Ayslen, and Vickie for the nice compliments.... I've had a lot of interested people wanting chicks from him and the nice girls. Here's some fresh pics. I call him Houdini. He is an escape artist.
