The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Not trying to get off the subject but I found a great recipe for a Shampoo bar and it is great. Has tea tree oil in it. I used a little peppermint too. Be glad to share the recipe with you if your interested..
I don't buy anything but dishwashing liq. and dishwasher detergent.

BTW I have black chicks hatching today. Veru excited/ Only thing I see one pipping the bottom of the egg. I rarely have that problem. Hope it can get out.

If you don't already have that egg laying on its side.... put it there... chances are better to hatch before drowning :)

mine just did the same thing, they were all on their side, I thought for sure it drowned... nope it busted out without even zipping the next day. so there is hope!!

I had it setting up in a egg carton and it was the first one to hatch. Surprise to me. Another one has hatched and three more pipped. Maybe they will all be out by morning.

Thanks the advice though. I would have done that if it hadn't hatched when I got back from the store

mine pipped straight thru the fat end, right thru the air cell. I had one not hatch and I did eggtopsy... there was a hole into the air cell but the chick had never uncurled to try and pip, head was still folded into middle. :(

I have three out and two more pipped. It always amazes me how a chick the size they are can be folded up in a egg that small. Its a Miracle. I have two eggs that haven't pipped so I am hoping they pip by morning.

hope they do too, and as you say, AMAZING a chick so big fits in such a little round space! I was pretty impressed with the size of some of these chicks I just hatched when they popped out.
