Do they go through the flesh? Can you show a bird with one on? They may not be, but they look painful.

Wing bands are great either for ID, or NPIP. I'd much rather have wing bands than NPIP bands on legs. They never get too tight, and they are invisible. Yes, you can show with wing bands !

Two things keep me from going to the German Shows: theft and illegal imports...by me... I'd be guilty on both counts LOL! Now everyone reading this needs to know I don't even speed because it's wrong. This is just a joke.

Here's a few pics I took today of my GFF white Orp chicks, they are just at 3 mo old now. They are so hard to get good pics of, they are much prettier than these pics show!

Here's some of the GFF Red, Partridge & Jubilee chicks, also just at 3 mo old. I have seen that on the Partridge cockerels they have some leg feathering, also on the Reds

Ya mine are 2 years old and possibly the parents of yours! they have some slight feathering

Is it common for the reds to have light eyes when they are fully mature?

I see that with mine, a lighter eye color. Also varying shades of red and a couple of stubs on the legs.
