The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Does any one know of any rare orpington breeder in middle tn or eve heritage/rare orpingtons? I live in Nashville tn and want some orps! 30minutes to an hour away for shipping

ok.. so it's not just me.. i wasn't sure if the black orpington chicks often hatch out as brown or not... I know all of the other breeds I have dealt with have been black at hatch if they were supposed to be black chicks...
maybe the breeder has a split chocolate roo in with her blacks - unknowingly. Anyway, lucky you if they are chocolates (or maybe not if you did not want chocolate?)!

Thanks for the input guys! well.. hopefully they grow up to at least resemble English orps!.. I really wanted blacks though... so if they are pullets then I'll need to figure out if I want to get a chocolate cockerel or just what the heck to do with them!

thanks! Ever had a chocolate chick hatch out with the odd yellow on top of her head? .. if not then any idea what she may end up looking like?

What are your thoughts on this baby? Is it Splash? "Blue Splash"? Blue?

I have two splash babies one is solid white right now with one little mark on her right wing then the other one is a blue color with odd markings on her feathers!
