I'd like some feedback on 2 of my orps I purchased in a variety pack. The one I believe is a blue cockerel, but the second I'm not sure on. Is it a cuckoo or blue cuckoo? And pullet or cockerel? Thank you in advance!

It kind of looks like it from the pic, but no "muffs". So is she a cuckoo or blue cuckoo do you think? Thanks

I know this is a total novice qiestion, but i am trying to learn more sbout this breed, and i may be interested in eggs. What colors do you get with th black and the lavender? Do they breed true, or will they be crosses of some sort?

This is a great question!

The chicks from my Lavender hens that are bred to my Black rooster will all be solid black but all will carry one copy of the lavender gene. Those chicks arr called Black Splits because they are Split to Lavender. When you breed the Splits together they will produce 25% Blacks 25% Lavenders and 50% Splits

When you breed the Splits to a Lavender they will produce 50% Splits and 50% Lavenders

here is an excellent color breeding chart for them!

She looks regular cuckoo to me... But subtle color differences are hard to notice on my laptop.

What do u bait your trap with for a Raccoon. I have been told candy. I tried Tuna no luck.

Raccoons LOVE Honey Buns, and if you use them, you probably won't just catch the neighbor's cat.
