I just want to say Thank You for posting pictures of the birds from the shows.
Very happy to share the experience. I had a good time. The weather could have been better. I wish there were more shows close by like this one. 1450 birds, but sadly only 22 in the English Class. I think around 15 Orps, I brought 8 of them. I try to at least bring 3 of a variety, but I don't have many Blues ready yet. And to be honest most of my birds are too young. I brought 7 to their first shows today. And many are closer to 6 month oles. Out of all the girls, I have yet to get an egg. I read a knowledgeable BYCer say the pullet reaches her prime by their 9th egg. I gaurantee those first 8 eggs are goin into the Bator. lol
I have been off line for a bit. But I took a couple of updated pics. Both boys are about 8 mos old and 3/4 English.
The first 2 are of the roo that is 1/2 Winston and 1/4 Charlie. The 3rd pic is of them both with a pullet that I hatched from Katy's eggs, and the final picture if of the roo that is 3/4 Charlie.
I hope you enjoy these. A neighbor asked me if they were pregnant because they are so huge.
I've been trying to get caught up with all the pictures here. I have been off for a bit - my little boy, Finn, had his surgery and I've been busy with him helping him recuperate, so haven't had much time the last week or so.
All the pictures from everybody look great !! I'm going to go back and look through them all again more closely !! Congrats to all on your beautiful Orps !!
