I stuck 6 eggs in the incubator a few days ago.....

DARN IT .... none were fertile. I think I am gonna have to clip some fluff. I know I have seen the boys mating at least one of the girls that is laying, so I am wondering if it is a fluff issue.

got my first couple eggs this week. Sent them to Mahonri for his New Year's hatch!!! WoOOT! It was an internal struggle whether to include them in the shipment, but I told him I'd send whatever odds and ends were laid, so they went. I figure I have three pullets and the rest of the year, so what difference to me about two eggs? To him, probably BIG difference, to me, none, so I shipped them. Didn't check fertility, so not sure if they are good or not.

Kathy some of it is young males, cold weather. You have to let the boys get a bit more experience. They are big birds and I find it takes a few months for them to hit mark regularly
