There is one Buff breeder who's line resembles a UK style. But his Buffs are 100% American. And since I met him I think his Buffs are moving more to an obvious APA look.

This is a pic of a Clarence Cannon cock bird who weighed in near 14 lbs. Here he is winning Chahalis a few years ago. Clarence sold all his Buffs this past year as he is near 90 yrs old.
I think this Buff displays many of the same traits as seen in the UK Buffs except for the much longer back. I think one can breed for a look IF they choose. I rate breeders not English vs UK vs APA. I think many here would agree that there are lousy breeders everywhere. But the good ones are the ones we should seek out to replicate.
I do think this Buff is too lite color. but, has everything else you would need in an Orp
