I thought so. He has the same color as Charlie. The thing I have noticed aabout Charlie is his feathers never get a dingy color ever. Now Lizzy did get a few dingy feathers before molt. I was dicussing this with UOC Secretary and she said a older breeder had told her that if they carried a silver gene they wpuldn't get that dingy color before molt or out in the sun. My boy Prince that I showed in Lake City has that same color. I am hoping to pass it on to some of the females and maybe have whole group with this color gene.

Just a quike update on the AI


Will have a guide price by Friday it has to be frozen and you will need somone the other end who knows how to do AI

So good news it can be shipped out to you to make it cost affective we also keep David's line of Buffs and silly colours Silverlaced, goldlaced, Lemon cuckoo these boys in the breeding pen got 1st and second at the national 2010. Choclate bantam but he is split so will only get choc females

Working with frozen semen is not like working with fresh chilled.. at least it isn't with dogs.... So it is going to be more of a concern in finding a vet<<< that knows how to properly process it. I watched an very informative AI video on FB.. Collecting the rooster is the hardest part... Inseminationing the hen is a piece of cake.. You just drip it in...not like having to slide the a pipette up inside like a dog.

I apologize to you all for not being here for ages, life has been hectic. But my beauties from Joy are all "growed up" and crowing and about ready to make babies themselves, so I though I would post for a few opinions. Since I only have three girls, they will all stay, but I am having difficulty in the choice of a roo.
All opinions are welcome. Max is injured, and he will stay with me, as he gets around fairly well, and IF he can breed, I may try him. So far the roos are not picking on each other. Imprimis is trying his best to breed the girls, who are not quite ready for him.

Here is Imprimis:

This is Gus - he has a lighter eye, and it was hard getting a picture- he is always moving, stretching.

This is Max - he and Impy do look a lot alike in the face and expression. They are Minerva's boys.

Here are Floria, Lydia and Skoche - who is still just a honey, Joy. Follows me around, still likes to snuggle on necks.

Awwww, Beth, they are looking wonderful ! So glad you checked in and posted pictures.

I believe roosters always get all the attention with photos for their beauty, EXCEPT in English Orps! The ladies are as attractive and as beautiful as the boys are! I just love them all!

Beth - you little rat !! Where have you been hiding ???? I'm really glad to see you again and wonderful pictures !! I can't believe how grown up they all are. Those black pullets are just gorgeous....they put me in mind of The O's. I'm sorry to hear about Max...poor baby...but I'm glad you are keeping him with you !! I just can't get over little Skoche !! I guess I ruined her with all the neck snuggling when she was a baby. About the only time I put her down and off my neck or out from under my shirt was when I was sleeping. I can't believe how big she is. Lovely pictures and thanks so much for posting them.
