The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Ok, I was mistaken. I did not realize that the book was a new one. That is what I get for only looking at the pictures.

Here is a link to several old books that you can read online, or even download in PDF. This search was for poultry breeding .

Google books also has several available.

I am not sure where I found them, but I have a couple of books by William Cook and Hubbards Poultry Secrets. If you can't find them and you want them I can email them to you.

ETA: I finally got the computer for a little bit.

Here are some pics of Rhys (1/2 Winston and 1/4 Charlie) and Frost (3/4 Charlie). The roosters that I picked up from Julie (Bamachicken) in November.

The first ones are from January 2011.

These next pictures are from Friday. I have to warn you about Rhys. He somehow got out of the fence, and was out all night when we had -17 degree temps. He is in the process of loosing most of his comb. I later found out that the night that he was shut out he was also chewed on by a dog. I was not sure if he was going to make it. He did not have any wounds, but he was obviously weakened.

My goodness tonya, those boys are big. I love you black pullet. I new Frost was going to be a great typey boy. He should be more awesome by the time he reaches 18 months. Thanks for sharing.

I am going to post pics later tonite of the Show. I did place but did not win Champion English. I was kinda glad cause I wanted to make it back home on Sat. I do have to say my Orps got a lot of attention from the people their. I don't know how many told me they were the best looking Orpingtons they had ever seen. Of course I had to agree. I love my birds. They make me smile when I see them. I thought they looked pretty regal.
I have company coming at five and I am waiting on Imogene to send me someof the photos she took for me so when I get them and upload them I will give you all scoop on what happened.
