LOL! You guys may be sorry you said that! I went to bed last night and all I dreamed of were chickens!! And baby chicks! And more chickens! Holy cow! I also show dogs, and have been addicted to that hobby for +25 years, now I have another addiction that is just as wonderful....Raising and showing chickens! I am going to my first show in 2 weeks with 2 of my (well actually I didnt breed them, but I am entering them) black orpingtons. I cant wait!! Will also get to spend some more time with my Mentor. She is awesome.

It turns out (as you guys suspected) that the zoo's BO are just really nice quality BO (Am. variety). They are going to get me the contact info for their source (still waiting for that).......I appreciate all of your support, guys - and if you ever know of someone breeding the English variety of B.O., please keep me in mind...I still would really like to get my hands on some!

For now, I have ordered 20 chicks from Hink JC Mountain Poultry...and I'm sooooo excited!

Good news, Chester crowed yesterday and sounded like a man. Today he was breeding one of the black hens. I am excited about this. I may graduate him to some breeders in a couple of weeks when he gets the hang of it.
