The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

So many great pics!!!

Jeremy I am so happy for you!

I love Neville, Norbert, and Barnaby. I think Barnaby would be better for a brightly colored, so save it.

Joy, I don't think it would be bad. If another one strikes you are a Norbert, use it. Until then put it on the back burner.

Jeremy - We expect pictures tomorrow evening at the latest !!! Can't wait to see him.

Tonya - Yeah, I think I"ll just sit on it and if I get a boy that looks like "Norbert" I'll go ahead and name him that. My other little NOrbert died at 5 weeks, so I think it would probably be okay. Thanks !

Hi Everyone! I've posted on here a few times with pictures of my girl Annie, whom I hatched from Julie's eggs. Annie is now 5 months old, I think. Today I was outside feeding at daybreak and she ran up to me and starting crowing. This explains a lot of things, such as; why she often slams into the back of my legs and why her tail looks so odd - not to mention the comb that keeps growing. Anyways, sadly my Annie will have to move since I can't have roosters. But I thought I'd share one last picture incase anyone remembers that she really did look like a pullet for the longest time! I even had several people verify on here that she was a pullet - LOL - he fooled us!

Here is a better profile view, where I think the tail looks rooish. . but I don't have a lot of experience with roosters at this age

Hm... at five months my girls combs were no where near that big or red. They still aren't at nearly 8 months old!

The most recent picture says roo to me, the first two didn't as much. I don't see any hackle or saddle feathers that scream boy to me though.
