I looked back at five month pictures and my boys were the only ones that had any red, and they had very obvious dark, pointy saddle feathers. Here's pix:
pullets:
Sometimes they will take on crowing if they are where there are no roosters and/or they are very dominant and there's no other males around.
Can't wait to see what the verdict is on her/him!
I guess one of the reasons I'm still leading towards calling Annie, Andy is that she has slammed into the back of my legs several times when I was leaving the run - I've never had a hen be as aggressive towards me as she is. . . At the time I just thought she was "different", but after hearing the crowing this morning - a light went off!

I see saddle feathers in the bottom pic. I had one that did not get any saddle feathers until almost 9 months old. dark blue and very pullet looking...then the saddle feathers took off. I say cockeral
BB it sure looks like a pullet. If you don't have a male the females will sometimes develop a male position and start crowing. I have had agreesive girls before. I have one now that is a year old and she has always been a odd ball. She doesn't flog me but she is always running at my legs and bumping them. She hasn't crowed though. Let me know the outcome on this.
