I've been pulling baby chicks from the incubator all morning, no Orps yet but Marans, Olive Eggers and Ameraucanas are hatching like crazy!

Mine are hatching today too. The first were a group of RIR's I am hatching for a young lady from our Church. The RIRs are actually descendants from my RIR's I used to keep. It seems to take Orps longer to hatch. i think their shells are tougher, or thicker or something. The windows on the bator are fogged I have had to open a vent cause i don't want my chicks to drown in the shell. I need to got get eggs in and then candle again when it gets dark and put another round of eggs in the bator.
I told Joy today that I cannnot beleive how fast these chicks are growing. they look like they doubled in size overnite. Exciting thinking how big they might be

Everybody who is hatching - keep us updated.

I ended up tossing the last two eggs, they didn't do anything. I ended up with 6 pure English this hatch and I put 8 more in the hatcher due to hatch on Tuesday. I have another 14 fertile due to hatch in the next couple of weeks after these 8, and more eggs in the bator that I haven't candled yet. My girls are laying up a storm, so I'm hoping to get a fair amount of chicks from them.

Jeremy - Still waiting on pictures of Neville !!!
