The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Well the import papers have been received back from USDA/APHIS yesterday. Now we are in wait mode for DEFRA to send their vet to test our birds in the UK. I am very excited as the breeder we have partnered with is a top show breeder in the UK and has numerous awards to show for their hard work.

We will be bringing in two bantam orpington breeds - one that is not in the US at the moment and the other one has limited supply in the US. I will be releasing the names of the breeds once they arrive here in the US. I want to hold off at the moment because I want to make sure our DEFRA tests are clean and the birds are here in the US.

We are very excited here about 2012 / 2013!!

Thank you very much for your wishes! I will be posting here and on my site on the breeds. THANKS!

Correct - but there are some project LF Chocs already here in the US. We should have our LF Choc on the next import from our breeder.... The LF Chocs in the UK at our breeder are not laying at the moment.
