Not real sure on his size but he is pretty large but not as big as the LF black English orps I have. Jeremy, I have not made my first cross to LF black hens yet but I plan to real soon just as soon as my black hens start laying good again.

Oh my gosh, I am loving the California-type winter we are having in Missouri! It was 56 today. Suppose to continue for the next week, up to 60s.

I took a couple pictures today. My chocolate nuggets....

Most of my flock is around 9 months old now and I have really been surprised in the last few weeks how the lacing appears to have improved from a few months ago.
When breeding the B/B/S, are there any agreed upon pairings that produce better color or better lacing?
I think I read before that Julie has had her best blues come from blue x blue.
Does everyone's preference vary by their own results, or is there really a best way to go about it? Does black x splash produce lighter colored blues than black x blue, etc..

I like my blues lacing better when I use a splash rooster over black hens.
