The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

They are looking great, Keep up the good work, Glad you are enjoying them.

Thought I'd post the progress on my three 3/8 English babies. They are now just over 6 months or 24 weeks old. The darker blue started laying a few days ago! Talk about surprised! I've not had an Orp, even a hatchery one start that early before. The blue pullets are 6 lbs and I haven't weighed the splash cockerel yet but side by side, he's exactly the same size as my 10 lb, 10 month old APA standard boy was. I do miss George, the black, but this splash is shaping up nicely.
Anyway, the pics. The buffs here are hatchery birds.

Pickles (center, with Olive behind her)

They are all from the trio that Rebel Yell used to have. Long story why I have the splash back but he's related to the girls and hatched with them.

Well - I'm having major issues with this new BYC, so don't expect to be here much - just not worth the hassle. I just wanted to say great pictures everyone and if anybody needs/wants to contact me, feel free to e-mail me !!

I agree! There use to be a new post about every other second. Now it is about one in 10 mins on the breeds/genetics/showing page. Not a whole lot of fun anymore. And if you notice on these BYC auctions you can not tell who is bidding and winning anymore. So a definite advantage for those Mods who have access and a definite loss for those who would care to ask how happy the winner is with what they got. I wish they would go back to the old site. There is a reason for everything and in this case I think it is for more advertising.

That's because all the usual posters are over in the "BYC Website & Forum Feedback & Announcements" forum asking questions about HOW to use this site, reporting bugs, getting slapped around for not having the highest quality super-duper fast computers, and being reminded what a wonderful place BYC is and how fabulous this new upgrading site is.

Upgrade your computer, update your programs, change your browser, blah, blah, blah....

I frequent several poultry forums and have never had to read instructions or have tutorials on how to use the site.

I know there is nothing wrong with my computer, I visit other sites too much and have no issues at all.

And the font size and the lighter pale color blue does not help any either.
Maybe they forget this site is for folks who spends the big bucks on birds and not computers. I know I have no plans on upgrading my computer till this one croaks!

Somebody posted a "fix" for that, Bill. I think it is the "resolution" that your computer is set on or something like that.
