No, not new. I hatched him here. But to be honest..........he was one of those pretty boys that I though was a pullet for a long time

......... He just blossomed into a roo this last month

.
I had one that I had hatched....I thought for sure he was a hen, within 4 - 6 weeks he became quite handsome Rooster... I hatched him earlier this year from a dozen eggs I bought on-line and he was the only one to hatch...Usually I don't interfere with hatches, but I returned home from work and his little legs were kicking in the air and the top of the egg was still attached to his head( looked like the cartoon with the chicken running around with the egg shell stuck on his head) He stand in the house almost 3 weeks before the wife wanted him out into the brooder...Well to make a long story short, something attacked and killed him this past week....so sad, your rooster reminds me of George!!!

I LOVE the color on that Jubilee! Do you have any more pictures of her (her, right? Or is it a he?)

Hi Jeremy, Thank you. Yes I can do that. I'll wait till I get them outside, maybe tomorrow. The pics are better outside but the big kids are out today

. I mean BIG kids. I had them out for just a minute together and of course the older orps had to start picking so I had to put the babies away. But I did get a couple of the CRAZY big kids (the adults......)

I just love it when they try to fly....I think it is time I told them they are chickens.....

This is one of my favorite shots of the day. (My other black roo - not the one I posted yesterday)
