The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I've done about everything at the post office but sweep the floor. I see no reason why this shouldn't be fine. So long as that postage has only been used the one time on a package that requires that amount of postage, it's fine.

I know one of the steps asks if you are mailing from a different location...I mark yes from here because I ship out of WRJ, VT since it is a distribution center. So this is going to be a learning experience ") for us. I think it will work though. It also asks if you want to make a PDF file out of the label first.... but the shipper has never dealt with making a label..soo I don't want to complicate things... soo trying to do the Keep It Simple method. ")

Thanks,
again

Should work fine. So long as the scanning equipment can read the label I see no difficulties. Postage from one place to the other tends to be the same no matter which end sends it. And the PO only wants their money, the details it cares not a thing about lol.

Getting ready for winter. I moved a few "adolescents," in with my older Orps. I am only keeping a dozen over winter. I gave away 10 more of them today.

Beautiful.

I have a shipping question.. I want to know if I can pay for a shipping label here, fax it to the shipper. and they print it out and use it to ship me the chickens? Feel free to PM me the answers if you have ever done this successfully.

thanks
Are you using USPS? I have done this many times at the hospital..sent labels out to PTs to mail back info , equipment ect. by wt..I think yours would be live animal shipment would be the only difference.. I dont think UPS and a few of the others are licenced to ship live animals , only USPS. Galanie is right , it has to be able to be read by scanner..

Yes, a happy tired indeed ~after the show. There was so much to do and see at the show, wish I had taken more pictures. Here are the two Orps we entered.

I love how our pullet is looking at the ribbon like, "really? what now." What a stressful endeavor for all the chooks. Frankie (our roo pictured above) beat the tar out of our BC Marans roo while in the quarantine coop. I had to pull the BC this morning and cage him seperately. Keep thinking 'I just need ONE more coop'.

:thumbsup

Gotta watch those black orps lol. I had one that whooped the snot out of more than one challenger. Yet he was the one that was so friendly he'd drink out of my can and never, even when young, was overly rough on the girls.

Congratulations! I am so very happy for you :)

Avec, I just talked to our postmaster person... She said she didn't see any reason the faxed copy wouldn't work. Soo I am gonna give it a try. ")
