The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Gosh, my God Chilluns have really grown up.Love the lacing, and it looks complete for a change.I love the wide feathers on the second to last photo, the second from the left. Which one is that? Pullet?

you mean, I'm suppose to remember which ones they are? No,pullet though, They were inside. But the one with drop dead gorgeous lacing AND no shafting, all large feathers too, is the one in the last picture, Buddy. You just can't see it in that picture.

These posts do make me smile. Boo Boo, hee hee.

As for size comparison, Renie this is one of your grandbabies at not quite 5 months... they are Dwarf Nigerians, but still!

Oh goodness, that is the best comparison. If my 25 lb cat, Tom, where still alive, I'd use him as the next- prop since I don't have the Nigerians.

I just played catch up. Wow, what some pretty and HUGE birds. Everyone has some nice stock. I love the GL and Jubliees.

I have thinned my flock going into winter. It amazing how getting rid of 8 English Orps will make such a huge diffence in the feed bill. Geeze these jumbos eat so much. I dont know how some of ya'll do it. I cant imagine feeding a large flock like some of ya'll have!!!!

Start funding his 401 K !

If these boys would hurry up and grow tails, I could pick the two I'm keeping. The rest of the boys have homes waiting for them. At this point, I'll not just need 401 K's, but, I'll have to build a retirement home! How much longer?!? If they don't have tails by Thanksgiving....well you can just imagine what my husband has suggested with these "turkey" sized birds.
