The feet are a clue. The size of wattles is important help. but the tails are a better clue for me. The girls have perky little upright tails early, while the boys' tails droop down. The pointed hackle and saddle feathers mean MALE too. I look at heads a lot. The boys seem to have heavier more curved beaks. The girls have straighter ones. Post some photos!I have a question about my Orp's?..........I have Orp's that are 12 and 13 weeks old ( born a week apart) I can tell some of the roo's apart and some of the pullets just by looking at the comb sizes and how their actions with the others....It seems all the roo's have the larger feet and pullets have the smaller feet.(so far)......I also have about 3 or 4 the comb is between the size of the roo's and the pullets but they have small feet....would they be pullets or would they just be smaller Roo's.....I guess what I'm asking can you sex the Orps by the size of the feet or does this mean they will just be bigger chickens then the smaller feet chickens? sorry, it's just my first time owning English orps!!![]()
