My little Sage. (And Paisley, the Magpie.) They will be 2 weeks old on Wednesday.

Aww they are adorable , cute names too.

Well...iPad seems to jive very well with the gallery upload, so I've posted some of the KC's flood photos there. They ( ducks) were so funny at first, checking out the water levels and kinda alarmed and in discussion before they took the plunge after torrential overnight rain but by the time they decided their world had opened up :) they took the plunge! We have a home dam which needs water pumped up from the creek every once in a while and there was an ugly support float in the middle I had to change! So I got hold of a pair of decoy ducks and that now does the trick...it was so funny though watching all the ducks swim by, with a lot of discussion and bemusement ...what the....? You could literally hear them  hope you get to see the photos! BTW when I answer your post, does that go to everyone? Just want to make sure the really great welcome I got from everyone is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Hi, can't upload here using my iPad, so I've posted in 'gallery' apparently 'browser not compatible', so please if you've got time, check out the gallery pix. We've just had a flood here in our valley (NSW Australia) and it's been duck heaven :p

They are so sweet! Easy to forget how tiny they are at this stage :) I notice you have yours in your laundry tub for a bath (?) I used to put mine in an aluminum foil large baking tray and the eight of them fitted perfectly! Sent some photos to my daughter and she ( tongue-in- cheek) thought that was in very bad taste :D I hadn't made the connection! Sage and Paisley ...perfect names :)

Carcajou, fantastic to see your flock in the snow...obviously they are o.k with the cold, we never get snow here in our valley but winters can get frosty. We've recently had 45 deg Celsius for a few day and the ducks hated it...poor little things, panting and swimming all day.

Hi guys I have a question about Khaki Campbell Drakes, do they typically have a brown head or do they have a green shiny head like a mallard drake? I have 5 standard size ducks, and a pair of calls, but would love to add a few more to my flock, and I am thinking about the Khakis. Thank you! :)
