Luka woke up in short pants after a horrible dream. He was trapped in a small black room watching a television, which was staticky but displayed the AMS killing mages. He saw Lyla, the twins, his sister, others die. No emotion from him. They were led up and killed in horridly cruel ways, and he watched emotionlessly. One drowned, one burned, one as scorched. Still no sympathy from him.
He saw Jade being led up to the platform, and immediately jerked in his chair, realizing in horror that he was chained to the chair. He jerked, cutting his skin, but to no avail. Before him, the television fell from the room, being replaced with sunlight from outside-and Jade's execution live. He began screaming and cursing at the AMS, not bearing to see Jade's tears as she looked around for help. The dream ended with his quiet sobs.
