The Legbar Thread!

I have been thinking about the database idea and curious if we could maybe do a hyper-text system that allowed members to link their own websites or webpages to the website's breeders list. I cannot see how you could ever make a database that could keep up with the myriad of divergent aspects of breeding chickens. Maybe we could start a list of when you got your original flock and from whom? But maybe we could even allow members to have pages on the site or maybe linked to the site. I like the way the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen website has member pages that then allows a hyper-texted page for members to attach a representative photo and a brief description on the website. Perhaps something like that might allow folks to describe their flock. Maybe if we grouped regionally.... just thoughts passing through my brain as I try to get my darn Keurig to work properly this morning.... Guess I am glad my mother-in-law re-gifted me another one for christmas

Something along this line is in the works for the Cream Legbar Club

whoops,

thought I posted to say how great papabrooder's chickens were....now I don't see it. Plus You answered a question in the text that I asked. I have an electronic gremlin in my computer today.

Your hen is fabulous, and so is the rooster in the last picture. Congratulations to you and to zoo for taking the wonderful pictures. What are the ages and background of these chickens? And - please submit some of these great photos to the 2014 BYC calendar. It would be really nice to see them for a whole month. Thanks for posting.

Is this the site blackbirds13
http://www.nhcrafts.org/juried_members/juriedmembers.html

And where it has specific crafts - the Cream Legbar Club would have specific regions or maybe even states since the regions are so large? A bio about the person or in our case better still examples of their chickens, and then -- maybe a liink to their webpage. Heads up Club members..... what do you think? (check to see if I found the right page first...LOL)

LOVE THAT idea- thanks blackbirds! And absolutely let me know when you are ready for eggs, I will be switching cream boy Hugger into the breeding pen this week and have full orders for about a month. Maybe we could swap eggs- you have a fantastic flock yourself. :)

Do you have whites that will be laying anytime soon? Interested in swapping white eggs at some point? I have a trio of whites that should be starting to lay by summer.
