the Only cross you could tell Sex even Before hatch is the Silkie male over White leghorn female.

how do you tell the sex "even Before" they hatch on the silkie male over a white leghorn female cross. sounds amazing.

When i look at lonnyandrinda rooster i can see some color in the neck and saddle just where the barring should be, id say its imo yellow white. When i look at the uk birds and the ladys birds silverfox got his eggs from i see allot of yellow white. Ill have to look where i read it but in punnetts own work he described the cream as having a large range in the shades of the cream color.

just sayin' -- I'm thinking it was meant to say before dry not before hatch.

Here they are a bit more fluffed out. The ones still in the incubator are looking darker but they're wet still.. these three in the brooder are nice and fluffed now and I think are all boys

skin color. I can't remember the particulars about the sex linkage, but I think the boys will have black skin and the girls yellow. It might be the other way around though lol.

Thanks.. I think I'm only going to have six.. :*( the last three look like duds as no activity and they should have pipped yesterday but going to give them till tomorrow.. Better rate than last time when I had none hatch... still hoping to have some girls in the bator they look like they may have more defined eye striping but that wet chick fuzz is deceiving..

you know how easy is to candle them? their white egg shell you can see red light thrue their see thrue pinkish skin.... Well the Silkie Roo over White Leghorn female will produce Black skine and boned Females... They will look Totally different from the boys when you candle them, their black skin wont allow the light to go thru
