was thinking that too, then I remembered that b&W photo of Legbar that 'hahaUthinkso' posted a link to British SOP of Legbar and it didn't look Leghorn like. Now, I'm thinking it IS different.

so sad my third cream suffering from frost bite already. Winter hasnt even started but 29-34 degree nights has him really cold. Im warming his core temp up with the trucks heater

its been documented that more than one Barring gene exist(B, B0, B1, B2, B2 and Sex linked Dilution B^Sd) Australian exhibition Dark Barred Plymouth Rock: B/B male & 2 females

having looked at those Dark and Light Barred birds one would assume that light grey birds like bird below would have the light Barring gene and the dark Rich colored birds with little dilution by Barring would also have the Dark barring gene... at least this is what I think, I think the Rich colore birds do carry the cream gene and double barring but are not diluted due to the none fading nature of the Dark barring gene(as seen on the dark plymouth rocks in Autralia)

Even though his comb isnt the greatest i like this ones color the best. A bit lemon in the saddle hackles a silver neck with the light chestnut

There not really white its more of a lemon possibly lemon white in person. They also have chestnut color barring them i cant capture with my phone. Thats good about the first he has the best comb

About the type- I am personally aiming for more of a leghorn base type. They were meant to lay lots of eggs so they should have a longer back. I also prefer the leghorn tail just because it is more pleasing to look at

Right i know what you were referring to i was also referring to his saddle. I dont think anyone has grey barring on their ccl saddle hackles. Does anyone????

the second male you posted has only cream barring on saddle with no grey to it....
