Now, back to business! LOL messin with y'all.

Yes i know nicalandia. I was hoping we could have a quick poll as to whos males have that grey barring in their saddles. My first rooster does have some but he also the same color of barring the 2nd roo has mixed in with it.

thats correct, your bird looks Silver/Golden Crele, the Grey Barring on the hackle and saddle on Uk and Legbars that follow the Standard that calls for it look like barred birds instead of Crele... do you see this Crele Leghorn? he lacks Grey Barring on his saddle and very small amount of grey barring on his hackle and thats how Crele birds look like.. just like yours, but yours ofcourse look like a Cream Crele...

This has been a fascinating discussion with great pictures of many birds with which you have been working. Many thanks for this!

That said, I have to agree with muttsfan1 that I prefer more color in the cream legbar. If we can move the genetics to emphasize the cream without the loss of the chestnut, then you will maintain, imho, a very striking bird from an appearance perspective. I have to admit that after viewing your birds that I am not a fan of a "silver" or "grayed out" rooster. It would certainly be nice if there were some "COLOR" pictures of Punnett's birds that could be found or resurrected. I think that could go along way to resolve many interpretations of the "same terminology/words".

I work for a government regulatory agency and I cannot tell you how many discussions that I engage in with attorneys and technical staff on the interpretation of the "same terminology/words"! It is truly amazing that so many people can read the same words and reach so many different conclusions. I suspect that is a significant part of our problem here in trying to define and understand what is an appropriate SOP for the cream legbar. Hence, my request and hope that someone can find or resurrect a picture of Punnett's cream legbars. It is possible today to take a black and white photograph and have it colorized. But whether that would result in the correct colors would certainly be subject to debate.

Just sayin'

Very minimal barring on my boy's saddle feathers, too. Also based on the new diagram of measuring tail angle, my boy almost has a squirrel tail, it probably sits right at 90 degrees.
