Now some of my new chicks could be crested as 3 of this ladies hens are. How long will it be before I know?

that's a hybrid male. No way it's pure or female.I tried to search for this but didn't find what I was looking for. I have 5 legbars, at hatch showing 3 females, 2 males. They have grown as expected and suggested by their chick color until now. The roosters light, barred, very obviously different from the females. The boys are gaining comb size as expected and 2 of the pullets look like girls as expected...then I have one with pullet coloration that is combing out like a rooster and is gaining mahogany patched over the wings like a rooster. Photo of oddball below. Have you seen this?![]()

Nice chicks! So 5 girls and 5 boys - They look like they are growing fast...sometimes it seems that their wing-feathers grow so fast their bodies can't quite keep up....for a while. Thanks for putting up pictures. Love Cream Legbar chicks!!!
