The Mad Ramblings of a Cancer Patient!!

Hi Coyote - I have been thinking about you and praying for you. How are you doing? I was hoping you would keep us updated. Did you start a blog somewhere where we could go to stay in touch?

Edited to add: I just found where you posted a link to your blog a few pages back. I wish I had known sooner and could have been following. I have some catching up to do now. But, it looks like you haven't updated it since July 11th. Are you O.K.??

Here's her blog for anyone else who wants it:

Hi ya'll. Sorry I haven't kept ya'll updated in what is going on. I've been down and out for most of the summer. The chemo has really knocked me down. But thankfully the doc says that it this will probably only be for the next 2 treatments and then we will only be using one drug which wont have such bad side effects. By the time I get to feeling better it's time for another treatment. Last time I felt so bad, I asked my hubby to just shoot me and put me out of both of our miseries!! I'm dreading Thursday and have even considered contacting some of my friends who may be able to provide me with some less than legal "medication" to curb the nausea. Nothing they have given me is helping.

To top things off, I go back to work tomorrow. I've already warned them that I will be out of work for at least a week after the treatment. They were less than thrilled. Oh well, they knew it was coming.

I did manage a good week last week when my sister came down from NJ for a visit. We went and saw the exhibit on Pompeii at Discovery Place here in Charlotte. It was pretty cool. But mostly we ate junk food and watched Micheal Phelps like everyone else, lol.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I'm here, reading but not having much energy to respond. I'm off now to watch the Little League World Series! It's the little things you find comfort in, lol
