Going this afternoon to get three male peacocks for free. The man said if I can catch them there mine so he put some corn down in his chicken coop and said they will be in there. Now I am rushing to make a big pen for the back of my truck so I can get them all.

My son is going to start 4h soon and I would like to surprise him with 1 or 2 silkie bantams (one white one black preferably). Does anyone have any or know where there are any for sale? I'm Near Manchester/Tullahoma if that helps....

JennaLynn, I will have buff silkie babies later in the season. I can't guarantee show quality as chicks, of course, but they are a show line. CPegram is working on blue/black/splash silkies. Someone on here does white as well. There are a TON of silkie breeders in the middle TN area.

MFL don't lay white eggs. Their eggs are cream colored.

Ok, the 3 eggs I have in the bator are white-ER than anything else I have atm, but the odds of them hatching are about nil, so the odds of a pullet out of them are like - 6. So perhaps I'll think of another white egg layer breed I'd like to see in the yard and aim for that at a later date... Anyone have a good WHITE egg layer breed to recommend??
