Hi! I had Crystal, my OE, hen go broody so I stuffed some OE eggs and some Silver Penciled Bantam Wyandotte eggs under her. Fingers crossed that she will go the full time.

Brought the feed out this evening and when I bent over to pour the feed into the pan my roo jumped me. He jumped me last week and embedded the full length of his spur,(two Inches) into the back of my calf. I had to reach down and pull him out because he was hung. He has been more and more aggressive this year. He is still good to his girls but he has had his beak bent ever since one of his sons grew bigger than him. I keep them separate or it immediately becomes a fight to the death scene. Well I would have sent him to freezer camp last week but I had a million things to do. I am thinking of taking care of business tomorrow and sending him on his way and his two girls can join Yellowlegs (the big son) and Tizzy.

The babies I got from Ann are growing like weeds! They are a snotty little click, too. They don't want anyone else hanging out with them. There's one hen who looks like she might be part Quail. Her name is Butterscotch.

They were yellow. Have you got some pullets from him you are crossing him with?
