Morning all! Luckily our weather folks were off on the forecast here in Mid-TN - - we got no overnight sleet/snow, and it is only down to freezing, not 25. All in all a good morning, I'd say!
wademach1977, welcome! Tennessee is such a loooong state, and there are so many forum conversations going on - - some of which were location-related - - that we decided to split the Tennessee threads so everyone could get a chance to chat. Our Mid-TN folks got together recently for lunch in Murfreesboro, and we are sure to have more lunches, swaps, etc. in the future. We can talk chickens FOREVER!!! If you already have chickens, we can help show you how to post photos here so we can all admire your birds.
Ohhhh emmalynn, your new silkies are gorgeous!!!! They don't even look real - - they look like fluffy white angels! Congratulations!
Holly, it's strange that there's so little on what is supposed to be a huge show this year (Dalton March double show). I will try to find the original links for the info, and if needed I'll call the show organizers just to be sure.
Hey Nella, I think you have a red-shouldered splash bantam cochin roo! I sure love that color. CityGirl had a standard size EE boy in that color, and I had a mini guy with the same markings. I'll bet he'll throw some nice splash offspring with the right lady. If I didn't have so many danged roosters over here I'd take him myself.
I found a pic of my red-shouldered splash bantam. (Unfortunately his nice beard was picked clean by his Number One Wife.) Anyhoo, here he is preparing to deal some Old Testament justice on me for pointing the camera at him:

(Holly, this is the grand-dad of some of your Remy chicks.)
I just love that combination of red with blue splash!
