It's a small world! I think we bought chicks from you last spring. A couple Easter Egger and a Rhode Island Red. Not that you'd remember me! haha! I think I just recently contacted you about Olive Eggers too... I'm trying to convince my husband to let me grab a few, but he wants to wait until it can just go outside since we're getting ready to hatch a bunch.

Hey I remember

you won't find any more RIR here this year.We cut lots of breeds out and added some more interesting one's.I'm the one with the Olive Eggers..The oldest one's will be going to our "new" heated brooder house in a few weeks..got to get it heated! They will be out playing during the day and warm at night.Half of the house will be all brooder boxes and the other half will be open but still insulated with heat when needed for the kids to sleep in away from the big birds.I need them OUT of my basement I actually heard the egg song in my house this morning

I went and did it...Partridge Wyandott'e chicks will be here in a few weeks along with several more blue laced red and a new blue laced roo to help out my splash. He will not find the same fate as Mr.Whiney

.Still waiting to get more Lav Orps here later this Spring..oh what a rainbow Red, Orange, yellow, oops I don't have green just some green roo tails, blue and purple now where is that pot of gold at the end

It stuck here just fine...ground is nice and white then you step on it and squish.Hopefully the wind dries the roads before they freeze or I will be stuck at the hill top retreat..otherwise known as my house

we are a lot higher up than you are though we have one of the roads that keeps everyone's little kids at home

The chick in my avatar is actually one that came from you! The EEs both turned out to be beautiful very friendly hens. They FINALLY started laying last week but have since stopped again (I'm guessing due to the weather).

We have some French Copper Black Marans, Buff Orpingtons, Blue Orpingtons, and Wheaten Ameraucanas coming to us sometime next week. It'll be my first hatch so I'll be happy if any of them make it! Let me know when you get some lavenders and if you plan to sell any of them

I'd eventually like to get at least one olive egger too, but my husband wants to wait until it can go outside. Our coop & run is at the edge of our property so we have no electricity to run a heat lamp out there right now...

what a cutie

I have a splash wheaten Ameraucana that is nearly 11 months and the free loader has yet to lay an egg...the wheaten's are SLOW but this is getting a bit much. That pen is short on hens so she needs to start earning her keep soon

Well we ended up with about three inches of snow! Now the moon is shinning! Oh boy is ever going to be cold tonight!I put an ad on CL for someone doing custom hatching in my area but no takers yet. So I started making more nest boxes and small cages so I can take advantage of all the broodys!I was going to do 3 breeds this year, now I have 10! What happened!
