Yuck. But I can stop by if you need help after 3:30.

That is the mark of a true friend right there.

I sweet talked the water company man into getting it for me. Turns out that he has chickens too (silkies, ameraucanas and EEs). He has a cabinet incubator and has been hatching out batches of 75 all summer, including some quail. We discussed silkie breeding for a bit. Talked about securing the top of my runs (I'm thinking chicken wire is next). He admired my shooting prowess and then tossed the possum back into the tree line. I made the appropriate girly noises when he picked it up by the tail and he just laughed at me. Good times.

Well, to be strictly truthful it would be:

Tish-1
Anne-2
Becky-1

This is my second. I'd set a trap except that the worthless outdoor cat would be in it every morning. Sigh.

Now I have a small but painful bruise in my armpit. Clearly I can pull off one shot. Two shots is over my limit.

Donna when are you meeting with Amy in Sparta? That is where I work would love to meet you in person. Maybe I can bring at least some of your eggs to you.

It was a little 16 gauge shotgun. I'm not good enough to use a rifle. I'd put an eye out.

YAY that you are moving in today. We will want new house pics once you are settled. Is honey home or are you doing it yourself?
