I'm out for the meet up..it's my only weekend all month where I can spend any time with my entire family.I won't be under the same roof with all of them again for a weekend until Nov.

These are the ten new babies that I put in the brooder this afternoon. Donna, the three yellow with darker down on their backs are the NH/RIR I got from you. The BBR one is still in the incubator. After he struggled for 48 hours to get out of the shell, I helped him a little this afternoon. I wasn't sure he was going to make it, but he has livened up a good bit the last hour. He's a beautiful gray/blue color - can't wait for him to finish drying and fluff up.

So in the photo there are 2 RIR, 3 NH/RIR, 1 BR, 2 GLW, and 2 light-brown leghorns.

Sorry the photo is out of focus. I had my DH help me put them on a towel and take a quick picture with my phone and get them back in the brooder - all within about 30 seconds. I can see why people get addicted to incubating/hatching.

As far as a meet up goes I am good pretty much any Saturday and either location would work for me. I would like to have the biggest turnout to meet as many as possible

Who says chickens don't pay???? I have a lady coming today to pick up all my new Rock chicks and may take some brown egg layers from the other hatch too

Then another lady saw my ad and wanted chicks for a broody and is getting hatching eggs instead!

All that will be at least 150# of feed! That is all I want is for them to pay for their feed.

Donna, do you have a couple extra BBR chicks to sell? My little one died this morning. Poor thing...I'm sure there was something wrong inside and that's why he tried hatching for 48 hours without success. I still have ten from that hatch.. and seven more due to hatch tomorrow...but none of them are BBR & i love that pretty grey-blue color.
