Holly I do not have internet on the weekends sorry. Go ahead and sell the boys I just can't deal with new birds right now, they are nice.
Donna the BL on the eggs mean Blue copper roo over Black copper hens so you will get blue and black Coppered peeps. The ones that say BCM are BCM/BCM so only BCM. I am so glad they are going good.
Jess that is one nice dog you got there! Congrats on te NPIP!
Good Morning everybody hope all are enjoying this weather. Gotta love TN mid Oct. and still beautiful!!

Hi everyone! Haven't been on here much lately, been crazy around here with sick kiddos and fall break.

My oldest are 21 weeks now, so doing the egg waiting game. My mystery white chick has turned into a white rock pullet and I have 2 blue silkies from Tish as well. One looks like it's going to turn into a roo...I don't suppose any of you are looking for a 13 week old blue silkie roo? Can't keep Roos as that was the deal with DH when he hooked me up with the coop.

I'm not really new to BYC but I'm just now finding this board and wanted to say hello to my "chicken keeper neighbors"!

Yes, well, I'm not adding any birds YET. I promised myself I'd wait another year or until something awful happens (and I no longer say "unless" because I've come to terms with the fact that I live in a predator hotbed and we are the ones encroaching...) I almost lost one of my girls today to a particularly brazen hawk.

Anyway, my hope is that I'll have a broody hen eventually and then I may be knocking around here for eggs. I have an EE cockerel and 3 EE pullets so I could hatch more EEs (refined mutts rather than regular mutts

) but I've got an itch for dark brown eggs that may or may not be scratched when my 3 Welsummer pullets eventually get down to the business of laying.

Welcome, this is a really nice bunch! I just learned about them last week, but they all get a 5 star rating in my book for being friendly, fun and helpful!
Enjoy!!
