We are so close to finishing those pens. If the weather would just hold out. Finally every one will have a new home next week! Now if the pullets will just start laying

Need more eggs... my spring pullets seem to be on strike and even thought the other girls seem to be done with moulting, no eggs yet.... Now the Marans are going full tilt! From 6 pullets I get 4-6 eggs a day... that is a lot of eggs for the bator

Set 28 and filling up for the next batch on Monday.

What hatch rate do you guys get with Marans? I have heard they are harder to hatch so I am setting waaaaaayyyy too many eggs hoping for half.

Cookville will still be an active venue but Daryl broke away and started his own with a partner. I think this venue will have awesome accommodations though it is heated and from what the flyer says they will have room for up to 1400 birds. I am looking forward to it. I decided not to go to Lawrenceburg I wish you the best of luck out there. You gonna try and show anything in Sparta?

. I may even know where there is one more blue rock hiding.
I always had good luck hatching my Marans and OE's from the Marans eggs.
Now about that weather..does 3-5" of more rain work for you?

My extended family Christmas dinner is that day. I will be in Huntsville all day. Why don't they do these shows in the spring?
