The Middle Tennessee Thread

hello all. im considering hatching some eggs this spring, anyone have any ameraucana eggs? wheaten especially? only color im not crazy about is black.

need some colored eggs! :)

looking at a mini incubator, so maybe 1/2 dozen eggs at most.

Tracyree - sorry, I only have EE eggs.

I had six chicks hatch today:

Four Araucanas: One of the light-colored ones has tufts, but they don't show up in the photo. And I can't tell whether or not any of them are rumpless at this stage.

Then there are two blue isbars - love their coloring!

I need to get a good camera. This phone doesn't take very good photos.

Tracy- I have blue and splash AMs, but no black. Someone here has wheatens and blue wheatens though. I just can't remember who. We need a sticky just for us with a list of what everyone is breeding! :)

Next chick hatch is in lock down. The turkeys are just in there hanging out in the extra humidity. :( I started them all together so the turkeys still need another week. They aren't due till March 10th.
The chicks I have left look awesome. They are due Saturday morning.

I checked out your hatch cam...very cool

Are you selling any of these? I am really wanting to add a Welsummer pullet to my flock.

Check this out... a Rhode Island Red in front of a RIR egg, and a Welsummer in front of one of their eggs. Still in lock down, they are my early birds. They set that pic up themselves. They are the only two out, and the eggs they are posing in front of are my suspected no gooders. :D
