Tin I wouldn't mind taking the credit for that tractor it was certainly well done !

Well I have done my first 3 bumble foot surgeries, had to go in and cut out and remove the infection. I had first applied some triple antibiotic ointment and it did fine on the milder cases of bumble foot. I had to go back in again on the other one that was way worse this time I applied some silver sulfadiazine this stuff is a must have in my chicken first aid box.

I have been working with one of my Golden Cuckoo Marans hen and some sour crop. With the repeated handling she had turned into a real sweetheart I would work the crop and message it trying to get her better. After a couple of days it wasn't helping and had decided to cull her but instead I figured I'd try to work up the blockage in the crop and hope she didn't aspirate on it. She was a real trooper and what a mess but she hung in during all of this. I gave her some fresh pineapple juice the enzymes broke down the blockage I followed with some olive oil the next day to relieve any gas bubbles and then would feed her yogurt with a dropper. 5 days later she is back to her old self it feels good to save one when you can.

I had not heard about Pineapple juice! I had heard of flat coke. GOOD JOB DR. CHAD!

My Rhodebar roo went to his new home this afternoon, and the two Rhodebar hens went into my layer pen. I'm so glad to be done with my Greenfire's bad Rhodebars drama.

I would never recommend them to anyone. I'll stick to my Swedish Flower Hens and Cream Legbars for now. But hey - I've got an olive egger in my layer flock now. LOL!

TinTennessee - love the video idea . . . except I couldn't get it to play. I'll try again later.

ChickenQueen - I've got about 10 pumpkins. I plan to roast and freeze some of them for pies and pumpkin bread. But the others will be going to the chickens. Hope mine enjoy them as much as yours did!
