I REALLY REALLY want to go.... I will just have to wait till Friday to find out. I was so dissapointed at the NEWNAN show, at least this is not a 5-6 hour drive so my expectations will not have to be so high. Next BIG show I will go to will be Ohio Nationals. Better show than Newnan I am sure and about the same drive.

It's 10:30 pm my chickens have been on roost since right before dark, J.W. my rooster is crowing. He does this periodically. Any ideas why other than he's a ROO? I've checked the coop nothing out there or in it except what's supposed to be... chickens.

I used to have this little Golden Seabright banty that crowed a lot at night time. He stayed on the exterior part of our living room window air conditioner. I had to take that roo to the coop night after night after night. Eventually he started going to roost with the rest and he crowed anytime we came home after dark. Without fail.

Anyone ever get chickens from Chicken Scratch Poultry? I've been wanting a coronation sussex pullet and they have them posted on Facebook but they want $50 per pullet and $45 for shipping.....geeessssseee.....I don't think I want one that bad, it would be different if I were showing or breeding but not just to add to my backyard flock.....is that a normal price?

I have a 7 1/2 month old blue copper marans pullet who I just found in the nest box sitting on 2 eggs. Is this to young for one to go broody? I haven't found her doing this before. I don't usually have need to go out to the coop this late & eggs are collected before they roost. I realize if she was broody she would spend most of her day on the nest. She did growl at me when I made her move , I guess she wasn't happy.

I have a SLW that has only been laying for a month or so and she has gone broody.

BTW on the Cuckoo roo... I just don't have any little one I can let go of. I will pick 1 of the 2 I have growing out but that will no be any time soon since they don't have tails

.... sorry.
