We're getting a deeper frost in the wee mornings now. Got to keep those hens happy.

My broody hatched one egg. left the others but was keeping the little one warm.

I moved the 2 other eggs under her so maybe they'll hatch.

Hey got a chick who looks like he might have Cocci, Was wondering if anyone has used the corid liquid? What color is it? I had some in a bottle somwhere and forgot about it until recently but cannot remember if it is for sure corid or not. Its a clear peach color. And doesnt have a strong smell.
Is this corid?

Cute...does not look like he will be barred...but I did have one barred old English game rooster that did not have a spot on his head

here he is at one day old...see no spot




and here he is at 6-7 weeks

I can see a spot. just not that noticable.

yeah it is a little bit lighter in color on top of his head....I never did figure out why he was bluish grey and not black as a baby

I had a golden cuckoo pullet that hatched SOLID BLACK no marks at all... but she was barred as she grew.
