Wow Donna... That is just ridiculous now. The other day MIGHT have been an accident but then you would think they would be more careful after that not to let it happen again... I think your husband is right to talk to him!

Sorry that your having dog problems. That is awful and I can feel your pain. I have lost four chickens to someone's coondogs. They somehow opened the coop latch! That's OK I am sure one of those dogs might be M I A. My son thought it was a bobcat and lit it up.

I forgot to tell you.. the dog got another guinea today.  My sons girlfriend is a LIAR!  She said the dog never got off the lead today.  I heard her calling the dog back home after I found the feathers all over.  She let that dog off on PURPOSE!  I know she did.  I am going to make them pay for the guinea if I have to take them to court.  ALL I HAVE EVER ASKED IS THEY KEEP THE DOG FROM RUNNING FREE!  If they would just do that I would not lose anymore guinea and it would be over but NOOOOOOOOO!

My son texted my hubby to come talk and hubby gave him the analogy of if we had a dog that attached his dog he would expect us to pay the bills for the vet..he agreed he would expect that.  I don't expect anymore than that. Just fix the problem.... the dogs!  He did give one away, but the other one is the biggest killer she needs to go.

It didn't do any good to talk to him. To him it is a LONG STORY. To me get rid of the dog!

She has killed 9 guinea now. She has been on a streak and usually gets 2 at a time. I have lost all my pretty colors too. I lost a Royal Purple and 2 Coral Blues and 1 Lavender and Several whites and pearls.

Yes I would LOVE for that dog to disappear but that would just cause more problems. I don't need anymore problems. She is a sweet dog. She just can't be around livestock. She has even been running the neighbors goats. I think they may have gotten some of her chickens that came up missing many months ago before I knew they were KILLERS.

Sorry not meaning to change the subject : one of my eggs are trying to catch. It has one peck mark and you can here the baby peeping. So my question is....... how long is the process of the little silkie fully hatching and is there anything I need to watch for?

Leave it alone make sure the humidity is high. It can take them 24 hours to hatch. The good ones hatch in a few hours. I like the ones that hatch QUICK!

Its a silkie! I bought a white pair from Hardin poultry at the first of April and this the first egg from them
