I have over a week to get everything electrical put in and running. Working out GREAT!

Hubby has hurt his back, not working on pens but dodging a tree branch while cutting grass. So I have ALL day to get caught up on chicken stuff.....

Donna, I'm happy to report my broody is STILL BROODY and sitting on (at least) the 11 eggs I got from you! Now where's some wood to knock on?

Question......my silkie went broody and stayed that way for about 3 weeks.....then she was "normal" for a few weeks....and now she's been broody again going on the 2nd week. Is this normal?
She will not come out of the coop and when I physically make her, she'll eat a bit then go right back in. No signs of an illness.

I've had them go broody until they got bored of me taking their eggs away but they have never gone broody that fast again afterwards. Do you want her to go broody? If not put her in a wire bottom cage.
