I am so sorry your kitty is sick Anne. Ours died of feline AIDS from a feral cat several years ago and it was awful. We haven't gotten another cat since that time. That being said does anyone have kittens that are chicken friendly?

Not sure where you are but my neighbors have 3 kittens that are only 3 weeks old. One is spoken for, it is mine.

3 amigos so far. This waiting to see if my hatch rate is awful is killing me. I still hear some peeping in the eggs and I see holes. 48 eggs set and 3 so far. It's better than nothing I guess.


Maybe when I wake up I'll have a bunch hatch.

Well we will be going to the exotic livestock auction in Cookeville tomorrow. Can't wait to see what chicken breeds they will have there, maybe something I can not walk away from.

Make sure you QUARANTINE ANYTHING YOU GET for 30 days.... healthy for 30 days. Make sure you practice BIO SECURITY when you work with them. I never saw them test anything and I have a horror story if you want to hear it. I will NEVER go back. Just takes one sick bird......

Ok due to a rather tragic accident one of my incubators was partially destroyed. It is a Farm Innovations 2200 and the bottom is gone. Since I doubt I can find a replacement part I would like to at least reuse the electronic parts and build a new incubator perhaps using a styrofoam cooler. Does anyone have any suggestions how to do this.

Ok due to a rather tragic accident one of my incubators was partially destroyed. It is a Farm Innovations 2200 and the bottom is gone. Since I doubt I can find a replacement part I would like to at least reuse the electronic parts and build a new incubator perhaps using a styrofoam cooler. Does anyone have any suggestions how to do this.
