When I first started and BEFORE I knew about this thread I went on My Pet Chicken….they ask you where you live, what you want the chickens for and other questions and then they tell you which breeds do well for your area and summer and winter temps…..I'm just throwing in a random question. What types of chickens should I AVOID in TN? I live in Murfreesboro and understand it can be chilly to y'all (I'm from Iowa, so teens are comfortable in winter for me) but I don't want my chickens to be miserable and getting frostbite etc. and I don't want them overheating in the summer either.
